A
little while back, Dick and I decided to try our hand at writing
some unashamedly poppy-type pop songs. You know the sort of
cunning master plan... what if Kylie covered one and made us fabulously rich?
Well, she didn't. And we're not. Despite Kylie's regrettable oversight,
we produced this little lot - covering everything from girl-band
cuteness to ballads, rock, latin, R&B and, of course, disco.
No, it's not prog - however, we felt the songs were
doing no-one any good just sitting on a hard drive, unheard and
unloved - so here they are. Songs would be nothing without great
singers, and so for the talents of Peter Howarth, Sonia Jones, John
Sloman, Linda John-Pierre and Petrina Johnson we extend our hearfelt
thanks. We now entreat you to cast aside any inhibitions
or preconceptions, and simply indulge our guilty pleasure. Yes, we
know you like Abba and Take That. So sit back, get yourself into
the X-Factor mood (yes, we know you like that too) and enjoy a slice
of shameless pop.
